The Library
On the 29 Feb 2012 the library of Harraby situated on the NCTC site will close. Our wonderful staff will be transferred to the central library in Carlisle , this will be a sad day for the residents of Harraby. A link library will take its place and will be situated in the community centre, however there will be no computer terminals, no Tuesday and Thursday after school clubs for our children to attend, Iam sure you would all want to thank Joyce, Julie and Alison for all the support they gave to our community over the last few years, and it's with many regrets that we could not secure the future of the library in its current form. The next set of questions we will be asking our local councillors is wether there is planning provisions for a new library when the new school is built. ,If you have any views or opinions on what has regretably happened, please let us know via our home page so that we can let future generations know what we had and cherished in our community, we will then publish them on this web page. from the community of Harraby, let me say once again THANK YOU Joyce , Julie and Alison and all previous staff for all your hard work and encouragement you gave to so many people. 06 Feb 2012. ( visit our Harraby Together We Can web page and see the actions we took to try and save our library)
